About Alsea National Park

Founded in 2022, Alsea National Park is located on the Pacific ocean in Oregon. A 200 square mile park that offers visitors a great educational and meaningful trip, including:

•  scenic views overlooking the Pacific

• temperate rainforest with old growth forests, more than 100 years old, 

• Thor’s Well, a rock formation that looks like the ocean is draining during high tide

• Tide pools with sea urchins, sea stars, sea anemones, and crabs 

Visitors will also enjoy the Above the Forest Trail, an interactive ocean cruise, and Heceta Head Lighthouse. The name Alsea is a tribute to the native ame
